My name is Julian Neubauer, also known under the synonym „westagil„. I don’t know what my nickname excately means. I think I got it when I was playing and racing Mario Kart back in 2007 or so. This is the real s*#%.
Now to my person. I am 22 years old and born in Eisensatdt, Austria near the hungarian border. Since I am 13 years old I am an avid downhiller and also a member of the club „ASVÖ iron racing“ in Eisenstadt and „RC Kreuzer“ in Bad Vöslau. Since the year 2011 I participate in official downhill races and bike events. Results
My goal is to train hard to be a good downhill racer in the future and to represent my country and sponsors. My big role models are the multiple world champion Sam Hill and Connor Fearon. Both are running flat pedals, the only way to go.
2017 was a hell of a season. The new bike helped me getting faster and better. I managed to reach good results for my new Team „RC Kreuzer„ in the IXS European and German Downhill Cup in the category „Elite Men (U23)“. 2018 was also a big step in the right direction. I had many good results and some good time at new locations such as Klinovec in the Czech Republic. My goal for this season was to attend at the World Cup in Leogang. I made it there, had good training sessions but unfortunately I flatted my rear tire coming out of the technical wood section.
I also took part at the 4X World Championships in Val di Sole. Always a pleasure to race against people from around the globe for your home country.
One other highlight of my season was that I took part in an english video project for Range Rover and the red cross. You can check it out on YouTube!
For 2019 I have some big plans and I am going to get a new bike and sponsors and hopefully more opportunities to show my abilities.
